Why House Of David’s Michael Iskander Won’t Let Acting Define Him
Actor Michael Iskander plays a future king on HOUSE OF DAVID, but he won’t let even that role define who he is. “My identity is not an actor,” Iskander told “The Lila Rose Show” podcast host Lila Rose earlier this year. The question sounded like an invitation to celebrate his big break: Had playing David helped him step into his identity? Iskander acknowledged a calling, then made clear that his career didn’t come first. “I’m a follower of Jesus.” For the actor, that relationship takes priority over his work.
Leap of Faith: Kidscreen Fall 2026
Importantly, producers don't need to be making faith-based content to fit on these platforms. The key need they're meeting is a desire for a walled-garden experience for kids. Wonder Project also features programming that isn't faith based, including another commission and its first series format: the competition series Wonder Dogs.
‘Young Washington’ Hits Streaming After $47 Million Run—How Does The Film Portray His Faith?
Young Washington is bringing its portrait of America's first president into viewers' homes after earning more than $47 million worldwide. Now streaming through Wonder Project's subscription service on Prime Video, the film raises a question that extends beyond its box office performance: how does a historical drama portray a celebrated leader's faith while distinguishing documented history from dramatic interpretation?
Specialty Streamers Are Building Momentum by Tapping Niche Interests and Superserving Fandoms
While Netflix and other major Hollywood streamers have programmed their services to offer something for everyone, a group of smaller players has carved out their own path with more limited, more highly specific niches of interest. Rather than challenging their premium counterparts, these specialty streamers focus on being “everything to someone” with complementary offerings that superserve a fandom. Among the most notable are Sony’s anime-focused Crunchyroll, Amazon’s movie-centric MGM+, BBC Studios’ British TV haven BritBox, Jon Erwin’s faith and family values-focused Wonder Project, Roku’s budget-friendly and nostalgia-focused ad-free streamer Howdy and AMC Global Media’s AMC+.

Bringing 'Young Washington' to Life: An Interview with Screenwriter/Producer Tom Provost
Long before he became the commander of the Continental Army and the first president of the United States, George Washington was a young man whose experiences, challenges, and choices helped shape the leader he would become. As our nation winds down the celebration of her 250th birthday at the end of 2026, the movie Young Washington (now available on Wonder Project’s home subscription service) offers a timely opportunity to revisit the life of one of America’s founding fathers and reflect on the people and events that helped shape our nation.

Young Washington Leads Wonder Project’s New ‘Stories Worth Knowing’ Collection
Before George Washington became a president, he had to learn how to lead — and YOUNG WASHINGTON now brings that chapter to Wonder Project’s new streaming collection. “Real stories can be more compelling than anything we could invent,” said YOUNG WASHINGTON director and Wonder Project founder Jon Erwin in the company’s Oct. 1 announcement. His goal: give families a reason to get curious about the people behind the names they know.
